We have already answered the question, “Who ya gonna call?” Apparently the question needed to be answered… again. Sony Pictures released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot movie. The twist here is that the four titular leads are all female. Kristen WiigMelissa McCarthyKate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones pick up the proton packs 30 years later as a swarm of paranormal activity hits Manhattan once again.  It seems that someone or something has a device that is amplifying the ecto-energy in the city. Who? Why? Those are the questions that need uncovering.  Check out the trailer below.

GHOSTBUSTERS - Official Trailer (HD)

Written by Katie Dippold and Paul Feig (Feig also helms as Director) the movie does come with promising pedigree. It is also encouraging to see genuinely funny women in similar roles made famous by Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Ernie Hudson. What scares us here are the predictable story beats and tired irreverence. This could be just the studio cutting together a trailer independent of Feig and the team.  We hope anyway.  It would certainly be fun to laugh and scream at a movie again.
