Midsummer Scream is just around the corner folks! That’s right the annual Halloween festival is returning to the Long Beach Convention Center Saturday July 29th and Sunday July 30th to give Halloween and horror fans a look at what is coming this fall.
Guests will be able to come face to face with their favorite fears, ghost, goblins and more with an expansive show floor crawling with cosplay, vendors, and experiences. What is more, HorrorBuzz will have a very special place that you will want to visit.
THE SCREAMING ROOM Presented by HORRORBUZZ
HorrorBuzz and Midsummer Scream invite you to sit back, relax, and be scared to death. Enter The Screaming Room. This isn’t just any convention screening room. Here in an abandoned movie theatre, recently discovered during by the Midsummer Scream team, a creepy clan of ushers will present an astounding collection of original horror shorts to suit every taste.
The films being presented have been carefully selected from hundreds of entries from filmmakers around the world. There will also be special presentations including special programming blocks presented by Etheria Film Night, BuzzFeed Unsolved, Scary Endings, and Legendary in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the iconic Halloween Film, TRICK R’ TREAT!

Saturday, July 29th
It’s opening day of Midsummer Scream! While the freaks are flooding the show floor come to the mouldering sanctum of the Screaming Room and get your wits scared out of you.

Relive Halloweens past with the gold standard of haunted walkthrough videos as Rick West shares hand picked moments from the best mazes in the world.
SCARY ENDINGS 11:45 AM
Clowns and werewolves and aliens, oh my! The independently produced web series Scary Endings offers bite-sized bits of horror from the best up-and-coming filmmakers in the industry. Every story a new scare, each short offering a new surprise; this is the perfect start to your scary day at Midsummer Scream.

Celebrate the spookiest time of the year as we share a delightful assortment of Halloween themed short films. Bring the candy corn, this one will have you screaming “Trick or Treat!”

Ryan Bergara is the “world’s worst detective.” Shane Madej is a “half hearted ghost hunter.” Together, they cover the paranormal and unusual crimes on Buzzfeed Unsolved. Meet them at Midsummer Scream as they show clips from recent investigations and talk about making the show.

The Screaming Room takes a turn into the bizarre and surreal world of fantasy. Here there are no rules and the horror shorts have a mind of their own.
