I am head-over-heels for writer/director Mickey Keating. His moody black-and-white film Darling was suspenseful and shocking, his throwback genre love letter Carnage Park was an amazing cross between The Most Dangerous Game and The Hills Have Eyes…kind of?  And now, he’s ready to unleash Psychopaths upon the world.

Set over the course of a single night, this psychedelic fever dream features an ensemble of maniacal characters, all interconnected by a series of violent coincidences and chance encounters. Part neo-noir, part slasher film, Psychopaths follows the soul of a recently executed serial killer, as it descends back to earth and possesses his many followers beneath the full moon.

Just to give you a little taste of the terror to come, here’s a clip from the movie, which will have its world premiere on April 20th at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Mike Hansen Haunt Junkie

Mike Hansen has worked as a teacher, a writer, an actor, and a haunt monster, and has been a horror fan ever since he was a young child. Sinister Seymour is his personal savior, and he swears by the undulating tentacles of Lord Cthulhu that he will reach the end of his Netflix list. Someday.
