Theatre Composer for Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre’s infamous URBAN DEATH shows to perform live in 3 special performances.

Christopher Reiner is a local legend. The celebrated music composer has been called an “Invaluable composer” by the LA Times and a “Master Lyricist” by Backstage West. Fans of Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre know him through the brooding music he composes for the theatre’s signature show, Urban Death. As strong an element in the show as the performers themselves, Reiner’s music creates a mood and palpable dread that carries Urban Death on an aural cloud of unease.

Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre will be presenting a rare late-afternoon performance of music and prose from The Underground’s very own Christopher Reiner,   who has composed music and songs for 23 productions with ZJU in Los Angeles, off-Broadway, and Cape Town, including Urban DeathAliceTell-Tale Heart, and Nightmare’s Trio. Mr. Reiner is author of three books of poetry and prose, most recently, I Want Nothing But You In The World (Spuyten Duyvil 2016).  His video – The Man Who Ate a Car, was selected for the L.A. Freewaves Festival and is available on YouTube.
