Ladies and gentlemen, we are here with the Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights Tracker #4 . The news is coming fast and hard from Universal right now. In the past week we have had two major announcements. Halloween Michael Myers Comes Home and This is the End 3D We can clearly see more construction throughout the park including the beginnings of work on the Terror Tram. Today we take you to 5 of those construction sites and deliver the latest, breaking news from HHN.

Scare Zone 1
There were no scare zone announcements made yet, so much of the big announcements were among the mazes. John Murdy tweeted weeks ago…
…will be a new theme this year. And by new I mean we’ve never done it for HHN. It will also factor into the opening Scare-a-mony
I know people have been wondering about the opening ceremony since there’s a lot of construction at the front of the park…
… Moving some elements around to make room for it because it’s a signature part of Horror Nights. Looks like it will work.
It is fascinating to see how they make HHN work despite still being under unprecedented construction.
Halloween Michael Myers Comes Home
Parisian Courtyard
Construction at the Parisian Courtyard on the upper lot has come along. It was announced at ScareLA this past weekend that Halloween Michael Myers Comes Home is part of the line up.
John Murdy took to Twitter immediately and confirmed details including the location of the maze.
Halloween is under construction right now on the top deck of the park, an area we call Parisian Courtyard. The Myers house is going up now

This Is The End 3D
Revenge of the Mummy Extended Queue
The latest maze to be announced for the 2015 line up, This is the End 3D will be located in the extended queue area behind The Revenge of the Mummy. Creative Director of Universal Studios Hollywood and Halloween Horror Nights, John Murdy explains on his Twitter feed…
The maze is being built behind The Mummy ride but I’m reversing the facade location back to the days of Saw, Hostel…
The reason for that change is the facade itself…Franco’s house post apocalypse. Needed more space for that.

Obviously this is the maze I’d been teasing as being “out of the box” for us. Combining Horror and Comedy? We haven’t done that before.
Sometimes you have to take risks. Sometimes you have to push the envelope. Why does horror have to be so narrowly defined? It doesn’t.
The obvious challenge here is combining horror and comedy in a maze. Has to succeed on both levels. Risky as Hell, I’ll admit.
I think this maze is going to be a blast. It’s chock full of Devily, Demony goodness. Some of which you only saw glimpses of in the film
We can’t WAIT to see what John Murdy and Art Director Chris Williams have in store for us here. Please oh please let this work!

Insidious Return to the further
Extended Jurassic Park Queue
The Insidious maze is looking absolutely gorgeous here. A meticulously crafted façade, this gives a real indication of how well the studio works with the theme parks to create immersive experiences at this time of year.
Former Stage 28 Area
The Walking Dead: Wolves Not Far (?)
Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood announced new mazes based on the wildy popular The Walking Dead. You can read the full announcement here. It has not been confirmed as of yet that The Walking Dead: Wolves Not Far should be in the former spot of the historic Stage 28.
While remaining quiet on this maze at the moment, the tweets sent out about this maze bear repeating. Regarding the actual experience John Murdy went into more specifics than did the official announcement. He promises, logically, a full change in scenery along with a variety of scenarios to navigate.

Taking a cue from last year’s absolutely brilliant Walking Dead House in Orlando, Murdy continues…
What’s biggest mean? Well from a square footage standpoint it is the same size as the bigger than ever maze in Orlando in 2014…

Metro Sets
Crimson Peak Maze of Madness was announced at Comic-Con 2015. While we have no new pics this week from this location due to ever-changing tram routes, Murdy did throw us a bone.
Hmmm…more pictures of latest make up sculpts for Crimson Peak creatures have just arrived. Looks just like the film! Now to send to GDT…
We are excited to see what insanity the creative team developed under the guidance of Guillermo Del Toro, Chris Williams, and John Murdy. This one is going to be intense.

Terror Tram Route
Mr. Murdy again tweeted about the progress on Terror Tram production this week without delivering the theme.
In full swing on Terror Tram video pre-production. Shooting this next week on the backlot. Gonna be a crazy night!
Here we see the regular sound baffle walls going up to keep things down for the neighbors on the hills up above.
No real construction is visible along the trail route. However, you CAN see materials being staged.

Other popular features that will be returning include “early arrival” (ie we let certain amount of people into the park early every night)
This is an awesome feature for the hardcore fans. You can tear through multiple mazes with little wait and enjoy the rest of the night at your leisure. That is, if you are early.
People have also asked about the frequent fear pass. Looks like that’s going to return too. Like previous years, limited quantity.
So get your Frequent Fear pass as soon as they go on sale.
