Halloween isn’t just scares.  It’s also spooky fun.  This is something that the originator of theme park haunts knows very well.  This year will make the inaugural Knott’s Spooky Farm event, a park wide daytime, NON-SCARE celebration for kids geared for kids ages 3-11.  It will take place weekends in October starting October 3 – Halloween Day. Knott’s Berry Farm invites families to join in on the Halloween fun with all new experiences all over the park.  There will special autumn and Halloween activities in Ghost Town, Boardwalk, Fiesta Village, and Camp Snoopy. The special limited-time entertainment serves up live entertainment, hands on activities, a costume contest, and more.

In Ghost Town,  Main Street will be filled with ghoulishly fun characters like Drac the Undertaker, The GhostRider Sheriff, The Werewolf Barber, and invites kids to trick-or-treat for tasty sweets by ringing whimsically themed bells at nearly a dozen themed doors. Brave kiddies can visit the Creepy Crawler Cabin in the Pony Express Rangers Station, where they can observe or hold a friendly praying mantis, beetles and more.

Kids aren’t left out when it comes to mazes at Knott’s Spooky Farm either. Over in Fiesta Village, the all-new kid friendly Spooky Hollow Maze offers an enchanting experience through a spooky forest with larger-than-life jack-o-lanterns and a special visit by the legendary Headless Horsemen. At the end of the hauntingly fun maze, kids can paint and bring home their very own pumpkin head, for a nominal fee.

The Boardwalk Ballroom will be bringing the season to life at the Monster Masquerade Ball. Little ghosts and ghouls can design a masquerade mask and dance the day away while enjoying karaoke.

Coolest of all, the spooky fun goes far beyond the sights and sounds of the ball. Weekends in October, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang will host a spooktacular costume contest in Camp Snoopy and invite families to bring their festively costumed children for some Halloween fun! Additionally, families can head to the Camp Spooky Theatre to watch the Peanuts Gang in The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown – Charlie Brown’s and his friends are throwing a Halloween Party and you’re invited!

We are excited to see Knott’s Berry Farm expanding their original Halloween festivities to include families and their children.  Halloween doesn’t have to be scary and Knotts knows how to deliver family-friendly, spooktacular fun without the scares.

Knott’s Spooky Farm runs weekends October 3 – Halloween Day, and is included with regular park admission.  Knott’s Berry Farm Theme Park operating hours are 10:00am to 5:30pm.  For more information on all the exciting things that are going on at Knott’s Berry Farm, visit us online at knotts.com and follow the conversation using #KnottsSpookyFarm.
