A new film joins the Official Selection of the Cinequest Film & VR Festival
2017 and it’s sure to capture your soul. Imitation Girl by Iranian-American filmmaker Natasha Kermani will premiere at the Cinequest Film & VR Festival Saturday, March 4th at 7:30 pm. Indie horror actress Ashley Carter is the leading lady. Ashley Carter along with fellow filmmakers will be in attendance. 

A newborn being appears in the Southwestern desert and imitates the image of the first person her sees a woman on a magazine cover. Iranian immigrants take her in and she begins to learn about the workings of the world around her. Julianna, Imitation’s human double, works as an entertainer in New York City where her life and relationship threatens her dreams for an audition to live a happier life. When Imitation learns of Julianna, she heads to New York to meet and tell Julianna the truth. Only by surrendering themselves to each other will they be able to be complete.
