Freddy’s back…but in a new form!
The music from A Nightmare On Elm Street is pretty iconic. From the opening bars of the first film all the way to the close credits of Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, the music helps bring everyone’s favorite wise-cracking slasher to life.
Death Waltz Recording Co., who recently brought us the incredible Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me vinyl, is releasing the Box Of Souls, an 8XLP set of the entire original scores from ALL the Nightmare films: A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY’S REVENGE, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4: THE DREAM MASTER, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 5: THE DREAM CHILD, FREDDY’S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE and WES CRAVEN’S NEW NIGHTMARE.
That’s right, you’re getting all the original music by Charles Bernstein, Christopher Young, Angelo Badalamenti, Craig Safan, Jay Ferguson & J. Peter Robinson.
The set is pressed on 180 Gram black vinyl, remastered by James Plotkin, and features some incredible new artwork from Mike Saputo. There is also 12-page booklet featuring extensive liner notes and interviews with key composers and cast members.
Also, while supplies last, they will be sending an hour-long mix CD of Death Waltz Originals titles by DJ Food FREE with all music orders, from now until the stock runs out.
The box set will set you back $250, but it clearly looks like it will be worth your money.
