A widower takes an offer to screen girls at a special audition, arranged for him by a friend to find him a new wife. The one he fancies is not who she appears to be after all.

For July, HorrorBuzz’s Horror Movie Night presents Takashi Miike‘s shocking and disturbing opus: Audition. A film that has been called stomach-churning, unsettling, grisly, and difficult to watch, Audition has drawn comparisons to films by Lynch and Cronenberg. KJ Doughton of Film Threat called it the “most harrowing, unforgiving slice of shock cinema since Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.”

In a break from our usual “last Monday of the month,” we will screening the film on Friday July 20th at 11pm at The Frida Cinema in downtown Santa Ana (305 E. 4th Street #100 Santa Ana, CA 92701). Make sure to arrive early as the first 50 in attendance will receive a special surprise.
