For the last three years, my favorite Halloween event has been, hands down, whatever the hell CREEP LA winds up doing. From their initial kick-off showcasing the creeps of Los Angeles, to exploring the work of Erebus Burwyck in ENTRY, to bringing the world of LORE to life last year, they always manage to get under my skin and be all…well, for the lack of a better word, creepy.

The team at Just Fix It Productions are back at it again for year four, with AWAKE, an unique immersive experience that explore…you know, I’ll just let the the press release tell you.

AWAKE is an unique immersive experiences that explores what creeps in the darkness of our minds. At night. While you sleep. Everyone dreams. You have to. They say if you don’t dream, you die. Or is i t- if you die in your dreams, you die in real life? Everyone’s had a bad dream they just can’t shake – or a dream that’s so real it feels like you’re AWAKE. What happens if your nightmares keep repeating, night after night? And what happens if you’re too afraid to close your eyes at night…afraid of what’s inside your mind?

Delightfully vague, but juuuust enough to make me want to see it RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT. This year’s show will be staged at Row DTLA, in a 60,000 square foot space where folks are invited into step into an altered world where nightmares become reality.

While, in the past, shows were run on a continuous cycle, AWAKE will only have 6 shows a night, with only 25 guests per 75 minute performance.

“CREEP was created four years ago to put a modern twist on the Haunted House experience, but what it’s evolved into is a horror experience unlike anything else,” said Justin Fix, JFI Production’s creator and producer. “We seek those moments of suspense, fear and surprise – when guests question what they’ve gotten themselves into. And this year we’re bringing nightmares to reality for a city of dreamers.”

For this fourth season of CREEP LA, JFI Productions has partnered with MOUSETRAPPE, an award- winning immersive design agency and media studio that creates and develops inspired ideas into unforgettable cinematic experiences.

“We are huge fans of the JFI team’s work, and combining media effects with immersive theater is something we as a company find very exciting,” said Daren Ulmer, Principal & Creative Director of Mousetrappe.

In addition, they are also teaming up with ROW DTLA’s RAPPHANNOCK OYSTER BAR. Located directly across from the entrance of AWAKE and open until 11 PM, guests are invited to enjoy exclusive menu offers when they present their AWAKE ticket.

The show will run on select dates from October 5th through November 4th. Tickets for AWAKE are $89 per person and for adults only, so you know it’s going to be good. Tickets scheduled to go on sale on Tuesday, September 4th at 10am PST.
