Baseline Games has just dropped the trailer for their latest game, Nira. The company has also revealed the release date for the anticipated survival game, which is set to be April 24th. The trailer features a player progressing throughout the game. Starting with essentially nothing, a player is free to wander about, scouring the world for resources. Players are free to do as they please in the world of Nira, and may choose to farm, fish, cook, rear animals, pilot a plane, and build a base camp. But the land of Nira is not without challenges and danger. Come nightfall, creatures rise in search of flesh and players must defend their camp in order to survive.

Nira Gameplay

Synopsis: Nira is a fast-paced survival exploration game. Explore endless procedurally generated worlds to gather resources you need to survive. But when night falls, creatures arise. Gather resources, build a base, craft tools and weapons, tame or hunt wild animals, fight off goblins and find a way to Nira.

Review of Trailer: This particular game looks fun. The open-world/free-roam game is a simple concept but with endless possibilities. The pressure to get supplies to reinforce and defend your basecamp against creatures of the night adds to the suspense and fun. While the 8-bit style design may not be for everyone, this looks like a game that gamers and self-proclaimed n00bs would equally enjoy!

Nira will be released to Steam on April 24, 2020. This is an Early Acces being provided to Steam. Through Early Access, Baseline Games hopes to gain feedback from players to improve the game and subsequently decide where the game will go in the future. So try it out! But be prepared…who knows what will awaken when the sun goes down.
