Dark Sky Films has announced that festival darling 1BR is coming to digital release on April 24th. Produced by Alok Mishra and Shane Vorster for Malevolent Films, Allard Cantor and Jarrod Murray for Epicenter, as well as Nic Izzi and Sam Sandweiss, 1BR tells the story of Sarah (Nicole Brydon Bloom) who arrives in Hollywood and lands the perfect pad only to have things go south fast. We have the poster and trailer below.

Film Synopsis:  After leaving behind a painful past to follow her dreams, Sarah scores the perfect Hollywood apartment. But something is not right. Unable to sleep, tormented by strange noises and threatening notes, her new life quickly starts to unravel. By the time she learns the horrifying truth, it’s too late. Caught in a waking nightmare, Sarah must find the strength to hold onto her crumbling sanity…or be trapped forever in an existential hell.

Trailers are designed to bring out the best, most marketable moments of a film. This one for 1BR really seems to do that without giving away too much. What’s more, we are interested. Starting with the paranoid storyline, this just feels strange and unsettling. Sidebar: the cast looks varied and even too, a good thing.

1BR is scheduled for April 24th Digital release.
