A sweet deal is coming to Netflix. Sweet Tooth, family-friendly fantasy adventure series, is being added to the streaming platform’s ever-growing cache of quality original programming. The series comes to Netflix from Warner Brothers Television and Team Downey. Sweet Tooth features human-animal hybrids based on characters from DC as they journey through a post-apocalyptic paradise. The released poster (featured below) evokes serious Narnia, Golden Compass, and Alice in Wonderland vibes.
Synopsis: Follow the adventure of Gus — part deer, part boy — who leaves his home in the forest to find the outside world ravaged by a cataclysmic event. He joins a ragtag family of humans and animal-children hybrids like himself in search of answers about this new world and the mystery behind his hybrid origins.
Sweet Tooth stars Christian Convery (Beautiful Boy), Nonso Anozie (Game of Thrones), Adeel Akhtar (Les Misérables TV Series), and Will Forte (Saturday Night Live), with James Brolin (Westworld) as the voice of the narrator. The fun family-friendly series is being produced by Team Downey’s Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, and Amanda Burrell; and Linda Moran. RDJ has also announced the news on his Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Season one of the series will contain eight one-hour episodes. Even though no release date or trailer has been released, we are already sweet on Sweet Tooth.
