Okay, who said his name?!? Warner Bros. Pictures has released the Trailer for the highly anticipated sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. This marks the return of one of cinema’s most beloved and eccentric characters. The long-anticipated sequel 36 years in the making sees the reunion of Tim Burton, the director with a unique flair for the gothic and grotesque, and Michael Keaton, whose portrayal of the mischievous poltergeist Beetlejuice has remained iconic in film history.

The sequel aims to resurrect the eerie charm and whimsical darkness of the original, with Burton at the helm and a screenplay penned by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, known for their work on “Wednesday”. This time, the story dives into a multi-generational saga featuring the Deetz family, with Winona Ryder reprising her role as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O’Hara returning as Delia Deetz. The ensemble cast is further bolstered by newcomers Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter Astrid, and Willem Dafoe. Yes, Dafoe.

Set in the familiar town of Winter River, the Deetz family faces an unexpected tragedy that leads them back to their ancestral home, only to find it still haunted by the past. Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, stumbles upon the model town in the attic, accidentally opening a portal to the Afterlife and setting the stage for Beetlejuice’s return.

Behind the scenes, Burton has assembled a team of long-time collaborators and new talents, including director of photography Haris Zambarloukos, production designer Mark Scruton, and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. The film’s music will be scored by Danny Elfman, who scored the original film and whose compositions have become synonymous with Burton’s filmography.
