Shine On Collective is often known for their innovative storytelling techniques and unique narratives in their immersive shows. With the onset of COVID-19, they have taken the step that a lot of immersive companies have, and have designed an at-home experience for you to unravel a mystery from the comfort of your own living room (Full Disclosure: I provided a short voice over for this experience, but had no other involvement and do not know how the story plays out).
Their new experience is called WELCOME HOME, which can be delivered directly to your door (depending on where you live) and comes with a meal. Dinner AND an immersive experience?! You can’t beat that!

Welcome to your new home! The moving van has just pulled away and a friendly welcome package from your neighbors is waiting on your front porch: a card, dinner and, strangely, some leftover belongings from your home’s previous owner. Maybe you can find some use for them, your new neighbors say. But there is something ominous about this place. Someone needs your help.
During WELCOME HOME, you will journey into a ghost story as you unravel secrets, solve mysteries, listen in on phone conversations, and enjoy a delicious meal. Explore letters, audio, and found objects that have been thoughtfully designed to guide you through a narrative world. No pesky Zoom meeting necessary (which is great for me, because I am becoming so tired of looking at my computer screen lately!).
Dinner choices include hearty hot meals crafted with fresh, local ingredients and aromatic herbs for a taste of home.
Experiences will be available for delivery to select zip codes in the Los Angeles area or for pickup in Culver City, on Friday and Saturday evenings September 11th, September 12th, September 18th and September 19th.
The experience is pre-packaged for groups of two or four people and includes one meal per person plus one story box for your group to explore together. The package for two is $80 (+ tax) and the experience for four is $120 (+ tax).
Experiences go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, August 18th at 8 PM. Availability is limited.
