Synopsis: Dean, Duncan, and DJ Beatroot are teenage pals from Glasgow who embark on the character-building camping trip known as the Duke of Edinburgh Award (which is based on a real-life program), where foraging, teamwork, and orienteering are the order of the day. Eager to cut loose and smoke weed in the Scottish Highlands, the trio finds themselves paired with straight-laced Ian, a fellow camper determined to play by the rules. After veering off-path into remote farmland that’s worlds away from their urban comfort zone, the boys find themselves hunted down by a shadowy force hell-bent on extinguishing their futures.

This film looks like the comedown of an acid trip. The characters are endearing misfits and the film gives slight Ready or Not vibes, and I am definitely into it. It’s chaotic and witty and true free cinema. It’s black comedy and horror wrapped up into one perfect package and I can’t wait to unwrap it! This is definitely not one to miss.

Directed by Ninian Doff, Get Duked! stars Eddie Izzard, Kate Dickey, Georgie Glen, and James Cosmo. The film also features a sellar breakout young cast featuring Samuel Bottomley, Viraj Juneja, Rian Gordon, and Lewis Gribben taking on the lead roles. Get Duked! will be released on Amazon Prime Video August 28.
