Red Hound Films had released the poster art and trailer for its latest project, The Special. This supernatural horror thriller takes audiences into the dark and mysterious realm of a brothel that offers something beyond the “traditional service”. Sounds good right? Because nothing ever went wrong from sticking parts of yourself into random objects.

Synopsis: Suspecting his wife of infidelity, Jerry retaliates at the urging of his best friend who takes him to a mysterious brothel for “The Special.”  But everything has a price, and Jerry’s night of pleasure sets off a dark chain of events as he spirals into obsession – because once you’ve had The Special you can’t go back to the ordinary.

This film looks good ‘n’ grotesque. The film touches on several taboo subjects and appears to do so boldly and without reservation. This is a no holds barred type story and I cant wait to see what unfolds. The cast looks to be top notch and this mysterious box now haunts me. To quote Brad Pitt in Se7en, “What’s in the box”?? I need to know! And with a poster tagline that reads, “Fatal Attraction Meets The Blob”… I can only imagine what audiences are in for.

Directed by B. Harrison Smith (Death House), The Special stars Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie), Davy Raphaely (ZK: Elephant’s Graveyard), and Sarah French (Blind) and was written by Mark Steensland (Lovecraft’s Pillow)  and James Newman (Still Waters). Watch with caution… because once you’ve tried “The Special“…things may never be the same.
