4our: Part 2 is a short that revolves around a ceremony done by a group of witches. It doesn’t play out as expected and as such truths come out that exposes the groups doubts while also having them deal with a shadowy figure.

As I’m sure you can tell from the title, this is a continuation of Part 1. Good news, they use a chunk of time to recap what happened. Bad news, it’s not nearly as interesting the second time around. The short film feels padded, like they were stretching to fill an 8-minute runtime. Which is saying a lot about what you have to look forward to.

I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect going into 4our: Part 2, but I will say that I was disappointed. The acting feels amateurish, and the set and costumes seem like they’re from the early 90s. It’s clear that this was meant to be a pilot episode or something, but it was decided to just split it into short films instead. Ultimately, 4our: Part 2 feels like something you would see in high school, and it’s not particularly good.

If I were to review 4our: Part 2 based solely on part 2, it would be a hard pass. Even at a brisk 8 minutes, it felt like a bore. Mix in the not great acting and the less than awesome writing and you’re left with something to avoid. Who knows, maybe part 3 will make it all worthwhile as long as they can learn from the low points of this one.
