This year, Universal Studios Hollywood is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate a monumental milestone: the 60th anniversary of its legendary Studio Tour. From April 26 through August 11, 2024, guests are invited to take a nostalgic journey that pays tribute to six decades of movie-making magic and innovative theme park attractions.

The Studio Tour, a cornerstone of Universal Studios Hollywood since its inception in 1964, has evolved from a two-hour excursion aboard the iconic red and white Glamor Trams to a state-of-the-art experience, now welcoming over 200 million visitors from around the globe. To commemorate this landmark anniversary, Universal Studios is enhancing the tour with the return of the original Glamor Trams, a step-off experience onto a legendary movie set, and a host of other immersive and interactive experiences.

Highlights of the celebration include the meticulously restored 1964 vintage Glamor Tram, photo ops with a giant King Kong backdrop, and the original hanging Jaws shark. Additionally, the “Earthquake—The Big One” attraction, a tour favorite since 1989, has been revamped with contemporary technology to deliver a more thrilling experience than ever before.

A unique partnership with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Hollywood Sign Trust introduces an original replica of the Hollywood Sign, offering guests a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity. This collaboration honors the spirit of Hollywood’s glamorous past and the sign’s centennial, aligning with the Studio Tour’s 60th festivities.

The celebration extends beyond the tour itself, featuring specially curated food and beverages, themed merchandise, and a special Dining Pass for a taste of nostalgia. Iconic sets, including those from “Psycho” and “Back to the Future,” along with surprise appearances from historical attractions, enrich the guest experience with moments of awe and wonder.
