Above the Knee follows Amir, a man seemingly living a perfect life with his girlfriend, but haunted by an unsettling secret. Amir suffers from body integrity identity disorder (BIID), convinced that his left leg doesn’t belong to him. Plagued by disturbing visions and an obsession with removing the alien limb, Amir embarks on a dangerous path to rid himself of the unwanted body part. Written and directed by Viljar Bøe, this dark psychological thriller explores themes of identity, obsession, and the lengths to which people will go to find peace within themselves.
