Freestyle Digital Media has announced the official release of Clone Cops, a sci-fi action comedy from debut feature director Danny Dones. The film centers on an alternate future where a group of outlaws faces a relentless onslaught from a disposable police force—genetically cloned and programmed for aggression. In the midst of defending their lives, the gang uncovers an unexpected truth about their world and their identities.

Opening for weeklong theatrical runs in Los Angeles, New York City, and Nashville on January 31, Clone Cops will be available to rent or own the same day across North America on Cable VOD and digital platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home. Directed by Dones and co-written with Phillip Cordell, the film was produced by Charles Royce, Nate Eggert, and Cordell through HiPhi Productions. The cast features Phillip Cordell, Ravi Patel, Quinnlan Ashe, Steve Byrne, and other Nashville-based talent.

Dones describes Clone Cops as a “weird little indie flick” aimed at fans of campy sci-fi comedies, while co-writer and star Cordell calls it “a comic book come-to-life” that draws inspiration from retro video game culture and classic 80s films. Both filmmakers credit their dedicated cast and crew for bringing this project to the big screen, expressing enthusiasm for sharing the film with audiences nationwide.
