20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for their upcoming action film ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL. Spoiler alert. It looks pretty awesome. Dystopian worlds are very in right now and Alita happens to live in one, little does she know she is much more than she thinks. And the more she finds out about herself, the more butt-kicking action that ensues. This trailer will definitely generate excitement for the February 14, 2019 release.

Synopsis: When Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo (Keean Johnson) offers instead to help trigger her memories. But it is only when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after Alita that she discovers a clue to her past – she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she’s grown to love.

This film seems to have a bit of everything. Action, romance, family drama, a futuristic dystopian world, the list goes on and on. There’s something for everyone in this film. For those who are fans of sci-fi’s such as Ghost in the Shell, Total Recall, and Lucy, this film is sure to be a hit. For those less inclined to jump at a sci-fi thriller, the appeal of a half-robot & human romance is intriguing, and if that’s not enough, a dysfunctional family relationship should do the trick. Cameron and Rodriguez look like they will be bringing another immersive film that fans can enjoy.
