Explore a mysterious home as a pixel-perfect clown in Clown in a House, the new exploration game by Kris Patrick – creator of the popular animated series CatGhost.
Venture deeper and deeper into the bowels of the house and meet its strange inhabitants to interact with more than 1,000 unique objects and uncover upwards of 20 endings!
As you explore the home, you might find yourself filled with a complex mix of emotions. Some things might seem familiar to you – and some things may not. If you open your mind – and your heart – you may discover that you and the clown have quite a lot in common! Maybe you two have made similar mistakes – or experienced similar joys. Maybe someday you’ll look back and realize the clown has visited your home.
Or you might just be playing a silly little game…
Some key features of Clown in a House include the following:
- 20+ different endings to uncover.
- 1,000+ unique object interactions.
- Witty and creative writing from the mind behind CatGhost.
- Classic pixel art reminiscent of ‘90s point-and-click adventure games.
- Powerful psychological narrative.
Review of Trailer: The short but sweet, eerie trailer shows a small snippet of narrative players can expect, as well as some gameplay. Certainly reminiscent of games I used to play heavily back in the day – The Crooked Man, anyone? – I’m excited to be able to dive into this, especially to check out the psychological plotline they talk about.
I’m hoping for interesting puzzles propelling players through the story, and for the ambient music to fit along perfectly. The heart monitor running in the background might even be my favorite part of this entire trailer.
Clown in a House launched on Steam on Tuesday, July 20 for $7.99. The game will be only available on Windows, for now.
