Epic Pictures’ horror label DREAD is introducing A KNIGHT’S WAR with a limited theatrical launch on February 7, followed by a video-on-demand (VOD) release on February 11. Directed by Matt Ninaber (Psycho Goreman, Death Valley), the film charts the journey of Bhodie, a determined knight sent into a perilous underworld to rescue the corrupted soul of the chosen one. Featuring encounters with witches, demons, and formidable foes, the mission holds consequences for humanity’s future.
Co-financed by Epic Pictures in association with High Rise Studio and executive produced by Epic’s CEO Patrick Ewald, A KNIGHT’S WAR marks the fourth collaboration between the Ninaber brothers—director Matt Ninaber and actor Jeremy Ninaber. According to Ewald, the film provides “an exciting blend of horror and medieval storytelling,” aiming to immerse audiences in its dark, otherworldly setting. Production highlights include handcrafted sets, with some scenes filmed in the director’s own backyard. Black Fawn Distribution will manage Canadian theatrical and home video releases in spring 2025.
