First of all, we have the amazing news to share that the upcoming horror installation, I Like Scary Movies has extended its Los Angeles dates through June 16th ! With this news, and to get us even more excited for this new show, the ILSM team sent out a video offering a first look of the delightfully disturbing Freddy Krueger glove.
According to I Like Scary Movies, “Guest will feel the power of Freddy as a massive version of his glove jets through his boiler room lair. The Freddy glove will be a full articulating piece with hinges at the finger joints so that guests can pull Freddy’s infamous knives around them for the ultimate in horror fan photo opportunity. To finish the piece, melted Freddy skin will be applied to the fingertips and the palm of the hand that will be creepy to the touch.”
The Freddy glove is a true horror art piece made from steel, aluminum, leather, and special effect latex not to mention your very worst nightmares.
The I Like Scary Movies experience is brought to life by Maximillian, the experiential artist behind many Hollywood studio activations over the years. “Our goal was to create an experience where fans could take their time to engage with the fantastical worlds of scary movies that have shaped their fandom,” says Maximillian. “We want them to be able to take a deep creative dive into some of their favorite movies in a way that is fun, engaging, artistic, and memorable, allowing them to really explore and enjoy the thrill of it all. The Warner Bros. Consumer Products team has been incredibly supportive of our vision and we can’t wait for fans to experience it.”
Beyond his 20 years of Comic-Con installations – from the Snakes on a Plane fuselage to the Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl shipwreck – Maximillian has recently orchestrated a wide range of national activations on behalf of his clientele, including the La La Land Aerial Dancers at City Hall, the drone light show at Dodger Stadium for Wonder Woman, and the Hollywood Bowl’s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Live-To-Film performance.
