Have you ever wanted to be someone else for a day? Careful what you wish for…having another body may not be all it’s cracked up to be. We see proof of that in the popular Netflix series “Altered Carbon”. This dynamic sci-fi series returns for its second season February 27. Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Endgame) takes on the role of Takeshi Kovacs from Joel Kinnaman as his pursuit for his lost love continues.

Synopsis: In Altered Carbon, society is transformed by new technology: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent. Season Two begins 30 years after the epic conclusion of Season One, and finds Takeshi Kovacs (Anthony Mackie), the lone surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors, continuing his centuries-old quest to find his lost love Quellcrist Falconer (Renée Elise Goldsberry). After decades of planet-hopping and searching the galaxy, Kovacs is recruited back to his home planet of Harlan’s World with the promise of finding Quell. Haunted by his past and responsible for investigating a series of brutal murders, Kovacs is stunned to discover his new mission to solve the crime and his pursuit to find Quell are one and the same. With the help of his loyal A.I. Poe (Chris Conner), Kovacs must now partner with new allies to outwit his enemies and find the truth: Who is Quellcrist Falconer?

Review of Trailer: Time for me to be 100% honest. I have never seen a single episode of “Altered Carbon”. But the trailer is stunning. The visuals, cinematography, music…all of it is so sharp and attention-grabbing. It captured my attention so much that I watched the Season 1 trailer and I now have full intention of watching this entire series in less than one week’s time. People that have seen the show know what I mean and people that haven’t need to watch the trailer and then they’ll know what I mean.

Check out Netflix’s website to stay up to date on all things “Altered Carbon”. Season 2 premieres on February 27, 2020 on Netflix. So there is still time to catch up for those (like me) who have not had a chance to see Season 1. And hey…who doesn’t like a reason to binge-watch TV all day long?
