Andy Edwards’ latest film, Rumpelstiltskin, is set to premiere at FrightFest Glasgow on March 8, 2025, before its digital release on April 7, 2025, via Miracle Media. The fantasy horror adaptation of the classic fairy tale introduces a bold reinterpretation of the legend, featuring a darkly comedic tone and practical effects.

The film stars Hannah Baxter-Eve (Aguska, Escape), Joss Carter (Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, Tarot), and Adrian Bouchet (The Wheel of Time, The Last Kingdom). It follows Evaline (Baxter-Eve), whose father deceives the King (Colin Malone) by claiming she can spin straw into gold. When they fail to meet the impossible demand, a masked creature (Carter) appears, offering help—but at a cost. As the King’s greed grows, Evaline is forced into a dangerous bargain that spirals into chaos and supernatural horror.

Edwards, known for Punch and Graphic Desires, delivers a version of Rumpelstiltskin that blends horror, dark humor, and a modern twist. With practical effects and an unconventional protagonist, this adaptation offers a different take on the familiar tale.

Following its FrightFest Glasgow premiere, Rumpelstiltskin will be available digitally on April 7, 2025.
