Epic Pictures’ specialty horror label, DREAD, is set to terrify audiences with their latest offering, Beezel, a chilling tale of a cursed New England home hiding sinister secrets beneath its floors. The film, crafted by the acclaimed horror filmmaking duo Social House Films, will have a limited theatrical release starting September 20, followed by its availability on video-on-demand (VOD) platforms from September 24.

Beezel is the brainchild of writer/director Aaron Fradkin and writer/star Victoria Fratz Fradkin, known for their successful YouTube project The Ballerina, which garnered over 19 million views and was featured in Season 7 of Bloody Bites TV. The duo has been recognized as leading voices in independent horror by GQ, highlighting their innovative work on YouTube.

The anticipation for Beezel has been palpable among horror enthusiasts, especially after the film’s first teaser dropped earlier this year on Film Updates, generating significant buzz within the genre community. Yulissa Morales, VP of US Distribution and Creative at Epic Pictures/DREAD, expressed her excitement for the release: “Aaron and Victoria have truly outdone themselves, creating something that will terrify, thrill, and haunt audiences long after the credits roll. I can’t wait to see people on the edge of their seats.”

Beezel tells the story of three unwitting guests who, over six tumultuous decades, discover a sinister secret lurking beneath the floors of a cursed New England home—a malevolent witch with an insatiable thirst for the souls of the living. The film promises to immerse viewers in a dark and unrelenting atmosphere, keeping them gripped from the very first scene.

Directed by Aaron Fradkin and featuring a talented cast including LeJon Woods, Bob Gallagher, Victoria Fratz Fradkin, Caroline Quigley, and Nicolas Robin, Beezel is set to become a must-watch for horror fans this fall. The film is produced by Victoria Fratz Fradkin, Paul Kim, Adam Liderman, and Aaron Fradkin.
