Beyond Fest, the film festival known for pulling no punches is back again, and their line up is as exciting as ever. Bringing together fans of new and old films Beyond Fest has something for everyone this year, whether it be pure genre or something in between. Along with fantastic film premiers, they will have remastered classics and some never before seen gems. With many of the screenings, there will directors, cast, and crew attending the event to experience this festival right along with the audience. For anyone in the Los Angeles area, this is an event that brings its A-game and always has a few surprises up its sleeve.

With many stand out premiers to see this year, there will be films coming from all over the world. Taika Waititi’s Nazi-Era satire drama-comedy Jojo Rabbit makes its west coast premiere and looks like a laugh riot. The biopic My Name is Dolemite by Craig Brewer has lovingly been paired with the original 1975 Dolemite making for an unforgettable double feature. They will also have the anticipated premiers of the horror-comedy Little Monsters and the Elijah Wood thriller Come To Daddy with cast and crew appearances.

Alongside the premiers, there will be special events and screening with more specific themes in mind. Joe Bob Briggs the master of genre films and host of Shudder’s Last Drive-In will be presenting Joe Bob Briggs “How Rednecks Saved Hollywood”. Tom Atkins, well know horror movie icon, will be attending a Tom Atkins triple feature with horror classics The Fog, Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, and Night of the Creeps. There are big premiers for restoration fans who want their horror movies looking gorgeous, they are The Living Dead at Manchester Morge 4K Restoration and  The Evil Dead: Reimagined 4K Restoration.

For those who are hard on cash but still want to experience the excitement of Beyond Fest there will be free screenings on the Egyptian’s second screen. If you are in the mood for some 80s horror there is the creature feature Killer Crocodile or the urban legend slasher Mad Man. If you are looking to experience a free west coast premier there is the dark comedy about 17th-century puppeteers Judy and Punch. If classic horror is more your taste or you want a screening with a huge cast and crew present there is the screening of Dracula VS. Frankenstein. Those are only a few of the 13 free screening that are going to be shown and rest assure that there is something for everyone.
