Set in a world where vampire blood is harvested and sold as a potent drug, Bleeding follows Eric (John Robert Howley), a grieving 17-year-old whose brother recently died of an overdose. When Eric’s cousin Sean (Jasper Jones), the son of an alcoholic cop, becomes entangled in the dangerous world of “Blood” trafficking, Eric takes drastic steps to protect him from a similar fate.
The story intensifies as the two teens, burdened by debt to a merciless dealer, break into an abandoned house and discover a sleeping girl locked inside. What begins as a possible escape from their troubles soon unveils deeper connections to their past and challenges their bond.
Producer Bofan Zhang shared insight into the film’s themes, stating, “Bleeding delves into the raw and unfiltered realities of addiction, heartbreak, and hope. To me, it’s a personal reminder of the fragility and resilience of the human spirit, finding light in those moments of darkness, and I think it’s a message that’s needed now more than ever.”
The production team includes cinematographer Daniel Cho, editor Andrew Bell, and composer Alex Symcox. Created by 88/90 Productions, Bleeding promises a unique take on addiction and its consequences, blending human drama with supernatural elements.
