The season is upon us! Everything is pumpkin flavored, hoodies are acceptable to wear every day, and Halloween is THE theme. With haunts popping up all around town, and costume contests at the local club… for once, would someone just think of the children?! Luckily for us in the Northern Bay Area, California’s Great America, has come to our rescue again. Starting September 30th, through October 29th, Saturdays and Sundays will be full of child friendly fun as they kick off their annual, Great Pumpkin Fest!

According to their website, the festival boasts the following activities for your little devils:

The festival is a non-scary daytime event for the entire family and has become a Bay Area tradition for the extended Halloween season.

Guests 12 and younger can race through a hay maze, decorate mini pumpkins to take home as souvenirs, color PEANUTS™ pictures and dance in a foam pit. They will also enjoy wearing their costumes and Trick-or-Treating with the PEANUTS™ gang. The Great Pumpkin Fest activities take place from Noon-4 pm, while the entire park is open from 10am-5:30pm for daytime fun.

The beloved movie “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” will continuously show in Planet Snoopy; additionally, the park will present book readings of the PEANUTS tale.

Every activity for The Great Pumpkin Fest takes place inside Great America’s Planet Snoopy kids area, where 14 rides designed for younger children add to the excitement. All Great Pumpkin Fest activities are included with admission.

With their 2018 season Gold Passes now on sale (for the lowest price of the season), includes unlimited admission for the rest of 2017 and all of 2018, including Halloween Haunt and WinterFest. Sounds like a no brainier to me… No brainier?! *feverishly looks around for zombies*
