The Chattanooga Film Festival (CFF) is back to celebrate its 10th anniversary from June 23-29, 2023. The festival, known as one of “The 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by MovieMaker Magazine, will take place at various locations around Chattanooga, with the historic and legendary haunted The Read House Hotel serving as the main venue. The festival will offer both in-person and virtual experiences for attendees.

The festival will open with the Southeast premiere of ONYX THE FORTUITOUS AND THE TALISMAN OF SOULS, followed by the Black Magic Masquerade party, hosted by Onyx the Fortuitous himself. Amanda Drexton and Michael A. Drexton’s feature film, SOUR PARTY, will make its world premiere at the festival. Meanwhile, Stephen Vanderpool and Sam Brittan’s film, TEARSUCKER, promises to take viewers on a dark and surreal journey that examines toxic masculinity and power dynamics.

CFF is proud to partner again with Cinedigm and Screambox for two must-see horror films: Japanese filmmaker Keishi Kondo’s mind-bending debut feature, NEW RELIGION, and THE ELDERLY from filmmakers Raúl Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez. The festival will also have a special screening of Daphné Baiwir’s KING ON SCREEN, which explores Stephen King’s film adaptations.

The festival’s live events will feature bestselling authors and longtime festival favorites, Clay McLeod Chapman and Grady Hendrix. Chapman’s live storytelling event, The Pumpkin Pie Show, will showcase readings from his latest novel, GHOST EATERS AND OTHER STORIES, while Hendrix’s new show, HOW TO SELL A HAUNTED HOUSE, promises to be both hilarious and informative.

Finally, CFF will pay tribute to the iconic horror anthology series TALES FROM THE CRYPT with a series of special events, including a pop-up comic shop and a live episode of The How NOT To Make a Movie Podcast with the show’s creators.

With an exciting lineup of films and live events, the Chattanooga Film Festival is the perfect destination for film fans looking for a unique and unforgettable experience this summer.
