Yes, we know. This is a horror site, so why in the world are we covering Christmas stuff. The simple answer is that there is very little scary to do at the moment, but there is more to it. Our wonderful friends that entertain us throughout the Halloween and Haunt season are busy moving on to the next holiday. Knott’s Berry Farm goes from Scary to Merry in three weeks. Six Flags Magic Mountain switches out horror for Holiday. California’s Great America switches out Haunt for Winterfest. Lastly Universal Studios Hollywood delivers not one, but two types of holiday magic with Grinchmas and Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Today we want to thank all of the wonderful theme parks that scare us when we need it by sharing what else they do after most of us are still depressed from the lack of scares and monsters. Enjoy this collection of videos shot over the holiday season at our favorite places in SoCal.
If you haven’t subscribed to our YouTube Channel yet we suggest you do so now! There will be a lot of fun stuff coming in 2018, not the least of which are videos, VR, and giveaways through the YouTube Channel and we can’t wait to share them with you!
Finally, from all of us at HorrorBuzz, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. Just remember, with this one down, we are that much closer to Haunt season 2018!
Knotts’ Merry Farm
Kicking off our cavalcade of Christmas videos is the big one, the merriest place in Southern California, Knott’s Merry Farm. With an unprecedented 9 different shows and entertainment offerings per day, this is THE place for old school Christmas fun. Here we have highlights from around the park plus full video of The nightly Tree Lighting in Calico Square, It’s the Merriest Christmas Show Ever Charlie Brown, and of course, the Merry Christmas Snoopy ice show.
Six Flags Magic Mountain Holiday in the Park
One of our favorite Christmas celebrations in southern California, Holiday in the park was again a highlight of the season. With 5 different themed areas woven throughout this thrill capital featuring 19 coasters, there was food and fun for everyone.
Queen Mary’s CHILL
Queen Mary’s CHILL was a remarkable transformation from small scale holiday event to all out, Ice Adventure Theme Park. The first of its kind in the US, the creative team behind this event brought 6 regions from around the world shipside and weaved an ingenious metaphor of unity through the holidays. A great time.
California’s Great America
From our wonderful friends at California’s Great America, Ryan Asher Reynoso delivers this piece highlighting Winterfest at this awesome regional park.
Universal Studios Hollywood
From Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to the low lying valleys of Whoville below Mount Crumpit we bring you the most festive videos from Universal Studios Hollywood.
