Epic Pictures’ horror label, DREAD, is set to release Ghost Game, a chilling new film that combines two classic horror sub-genres: the home invasion thriller and the haunted house. Directed by Jill Gevargizian, known for her acclaimed debut feature The Stylist, Ghost Game follows a couple who take part in an internet challenge that leads them into a notorious haunted house with deadly consequences.
Ghost Game will have a limited theatrical release starting October 18 in select theaters, including those in Los Angeles and New York. For those unable to catch it in theaters, the film will be available on video-on-demand (VOD) beginning October 22 and on Blu-ray starting December 10.
The film premiered at Panic Fest 2024, where it garnered praise, earning Gevargizian the audience award for Best Director. Produced by Eduardo Sanchez and written by Adam Cesare, Ghost Game stars Kia Dorsey, Zaen Haidar, and Michael C. Williams, among others.
Epic Pictures CEO Patrick Ewald expressed his excitement, stating, “Jill’s vision in Ghost Game brings a fresh take on the horror genre, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience her unique blend of suspense and terror.”
