Ghost in the graveyard 1..2..3.. ghost in the graveyard can’t catch me. Ghost in the graveyard is a children’s tag game. But the only people running in this film are running for their lives. Cellar Door Productions has released the first trailer of it’s latest supernatural thriller GHOST IN THE GRAVEYARD.
Synopsis: A small town comes under the thumb of Martha, a vengeful ghost who returns to haunt the children who witnessed her death during a game in their youth. Long blamed for the accident, Sally Sullivan (Berglund) must figure out why Martha has returned and how to get her to rest in peace for good. As the mystery of her return unravels, deep secrets are revealed that will have consequences for everyone involved.
Three words. Scary children singing. The music in this trailer immediately sets the tone for the entire trailer. A singular woman singing acapella what could only be a scary folk song from the old days (think ring around the rosy but blatantly dark). This is only to be followed up by children chanting about ghosts. Anything involving children is almost always inherently scarier. I found myself leaning into the screen so as not to miss any important details the trailer had to offer. While it looks like there may be some cheesy acting moments in this film, the story sounds interesting. And if the soundtrack is anything like the trailer, I’ll make sure to have a security blanket handy.
