From the director of The Redwood Massacre and Ghosts of Darkness comes THE DARK WITHIN, a new horror experience from Uncork’d Entertainment and writer/director David Ryan Keith. Paul Flannery (Ghosts of Darkness), Kendra Carelli (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, “Maid to Order”), and Stephanie Lynn Styles (Check Point) will star.

Synopsis: A disturbed man with unknown psychic abilities tries to unravel the mystery of his parent’s disappearance while battling his own demons.

Cool poster aside, I couldn’t really get a grasp of what the film was about (at least in the trailer) and the “the-real-demons-are-the-ones-inside-you” is a concept that sounds interesting but has been done before. It seems to be an amalgamation of everything ever seen in all types of horror films thrust into one feature with a wooden cast. However, I am not one to judge a film entirely on a 2 minute trailer, so I’m hoping I can be proven wrong.

THE DARK WITHIN will be released on DVD and VOD July 9, 2019.
