This July, horror enthusiasts are invited to immerse themselves in the most terrifying event of the summer as the Hall of Shadows returns to Midsummer Scream, the largest Halloween and horror convention globally. From July 26 to 28, the Long Beach Convention Center transforms into a nightmare realm where horror legends and thrilling live performances meet.

This year’s showcase, the Hall of Shadows, is packed with over a dozen haunting attractions and eerie photo ops. Notably, the “Gears of Fear: Explore the Legacy of Lionsgate® Horror” marks a historic first as the only major film studio-designed walk-through experience, featuring infamous characters from Lionsgate’s darkest films. Created in collaboration with Jon Cooke and Plague Productions, this attraction promises an up-close encounter with cinema’s most notorious villains.

Midsummer Scream 2024 elevates the horror experience by introducing a spine-tingling walkthrough through a ghostly Old West town, courtesy of the Fear Farm team. Beyond its haunting borders, attendees will find a myriad of attractions, including a haunted carnival, a Celtic graveyard, and a monster-filled pizza delivery scenario. Additionally, exclusive performances by the Decayed Brigade will feature gravity-defying stunts and sliding maneuvers.

The event ensures accessibility for all horror fans. All passes include access to the Hall of Shadows, with Gold Bat VIP pass holders enjoying priority access to the attractions. As Rick West, co-founder and creative director, states, “Each year, we are astounded by the creativity and passion of the haunters and artists who make Midsummer Scream a spectacularly frightening destination.”

Prepare for an unforgettable weekend of scares at Midsummer Scream 2024, where the legends of horror come alive.
