Universal Studios is turning up the fright factor with the debut of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights. Starting Friday, August 30 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 5 at Universal Studios Hollywood, visitors will be immersed in the latest spine-tingling installment of the Ghostbusters saga.
These haunted houses bring to life Sony Pictures’ newest film, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” featuring an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force intent on global destruction. The haunted houses will blend horror and humor, showcasing iconic ghosts and creatures from the beloved franchise. Fans will join the Spengler family and the original Ghostbusters in a battle against Garraka, a vengeful spirit aiming to plunge the world into a second Ice Age.
As guests journey through the haunted houses, they will explore eerie locations like Ray’s Occult Books, the Ghostbusters’ high-tech lab, and the New York City sewer system. Expect encounters with vengeful villains and ghastly creatures ready to turn visitors’ veins into rivers of ice. The Ghostbusters’ signature wit and humor will be crucial as they strive to save their city from this icy terror.
Orlando
At Universal Orlando, guests can immerse themselves in a terrifying new array of attractions, featuring 10 movie-quality haunted houses, five scare zones teeming with hundreds of menacing creatures, and a dynamic live show. A selection of tickets for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando is now on sale, including single-night tickets, Express Passes, and the R.I.P Tour, which offers priority access to the haunted houses. Additionally, the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour provides a daytime, lights-on look at how the haunted houses are crafted.
Visitors can also take advantage of a special vacation package to stay, scream, and save up to $200 (based on a seven-night stay). This package includes one-night admission to Halloween Horror Nights, entry to all three Universal Orlando theme parks, and accommodations at a Universal hotel. Tickets for Universal Orlando’s Premium Scream Night on Thursday, August 29, are now available. This unprecedented, one-night event will give a limited number of fans the opportunity to experience this year’s haunts before the event officially opens on Friday, August 30, including access to all 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and live entertainment. Horror enthusiasts and film aficionados can now mark their calendars for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, as tickets are now on sale. The event kicks off on Thursday, September 5 and continues on select nights until Sunday, November 3. Visitors will experience eight brand-new haunted houses, numerous chilling scare zones, and the famed Terror Tram.
A variety of Halloween Horror Nights ticket options are available for purchase to the Universal Studios Hollywood event, including General Admission, Universal Express, After 2 P.M.
