In this chilling narrative, local video store employee and horror enthusiast Quinn Curtis finds her Halloween holiday transformed into a nightmarish ordeal. The chaos begins when her friends reconnect her with an old flame, only to escalate when a killer in a scarecrow mask, equally obsessed with horror movies, initiates a twisted game of trick or treat. As the body count rises, the motivations of the sinister figure become clear, unveiling dark ties to the town’s haunting past.
Directed by Tory Jones and co-written by Jones and Jerron Spencer, The Boy from Below boasts a stellar production team featuring P.J. Starks, Roman Jossart, and Thomas Wolf. These seasoned professionals bring their expertise to the forefront, promising an unforgettable journey into terror.
“It’s crazy to think the early 90’s was 30 years ago. That time was so informative for me and my love for Scary Movies and a lot of that had to do with the mom-and-pop Video Stores.” says co-writer/director Tory Jones. “I would spend hours combing through old Horror Movies, entranced by the artwork. I probably aggravated the owners of the stores I frequented with questions about all that I was seeing as a young kid. I lived for it. So, to be able to go back to that time and tell a story while introducing a new slasher character to horror fans is super exciting to me. And now to have Dee, Felissa, Leah, Richie, and Chaney all joining the team I’m excited about what’s to come.”
This horror flick takes a nostalgic plunge into the era of video stores, with stars and legends of the genre-leading the charge. Scream queens Dee Wallace and Felissa Rose, alongside Leah Voysey, Chaney Morrow, and Richie Ramone, join a stellar cast that includes Spencer Madison, Kamarra Cole, Cameryn Zupon, and Douglas Vermeeren.
