GenTV’s horror feature SkillHouse held its world premiere in Park City, attracting a crowd of film stars and social media personalities. Produced by leading brand marketing agency Group Black, the event has prompted significant conversation within the horror community.
SkillHouse centers on ten top influencers who are abducted and forced into a high-stakes social media competition. Each round’s loser confronts the masked “Triller Killer,” creating a scenario where the ultimate popularity contest becomes a fight for survival. The film’s cast includes popular influencers Bryce Hall, Hannah Stocking, 50 Cent, Neal McDonough, and newcomer McCarrie McCausland. Directed and written by Josh Stolberg—known for his work on the last two SAW films—the movie promises a vivid commentary on internet fame and human desperation.
Hall shared his enthusiasm following the premiere, describing it as “everything I hoped it could be and more.” He also mentioned that multiple studios have shown interest, with a distribution deal in the works. A ten-minute clip posted on GenTV.com gained millions of unique paid views and over 100 million page views, signaling strong audience curiosity. GenTV’s influencer-driven streaming model aims to give creators increased control and profit.
The weekend’s events began at Black Rock Resort, where the full-length screening took place. Later, attendees headed to the Music Lodge at Treasure Mountain Inn for a post-premiere gathering featuring signature cocktails, Mexican small-batch margaritas, and various hors d’oeuvres. DJ Mick Batyske entertained guests well into the night, adding an energetic close to the festivities.
