Hello, HorrorGram fam! This week we take a step back from our crazy, and busy lives, and look at something we all have in common. No, it’s not the love of a good martini… but we will take one now that you’ve mentioned it! What is this commonality in all of us that I speak of? Well, to put it bluntly, we are all dying! The old mantra, “Live fast, die young, leave a pretty corpse.” doesn’t hold as true as it once did, and we have that undead sensation that has been sweeping the nation to thank. That’s right, Zombies! With shows like, The Walking Dead, becoming a household name, you’ll find the culture has spread rapidly like a virus all over the nation.
One of our favorite examples of this is known as the, “Zombie Crawl”. This phenomenon blends one of America’s favorite pastimes with our living dead friends. The art of bar hopping. Whether you’re a rotting corpse in search of booze and brains, or a survivor who’s running from the horde in search for the perfect buzz. People 21 years and older are taking their imbibing to the next level, and filling the streets in what looks something right out of a George Romero flick. Some have even started family friendly Zombie Crawl’s so the whole family can get in on the spectacle.

Now, we know this wouldn’t phase any of our readers, but we all know someone (a friend, or even a family member) who is deathly afraid of Zombies. Would you, dear readers, knowingly send them out to the corner store with hopes they come face to face with a horde of the undead? It may sound cruel, but let’s just say the thought has crossed our twisted minds once or twice. Sorry, Grandma!
I guess the upside to attending an epic Zombie Crawl is waking up the next morning, and looking the way you feel. Like death!
