San Diego’s largest Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld, is back on Friday, September 27, and will run select nights through November 2. Known for delivering an immersive and haunting experience, Howl-O-Scream promises a night of frights, with new features including bone-chilling entertainment, themed food and beverage options, hidden speakeasies, and live performances.
This year’s event will debut several thrilling additions. The Opening SCAREmony kicks off the night with a frightening stage show, while the Monster Stomp Show offers a high-energy performance inspired by Jack the Ripper. Visitors can also experience DJ sets across the park and embark on the Arctic Rescue Winter’s Bane coaster, redesigned for an immersive night-time experience.
The event’s new cocktail bars, such as Bloodthirsty and Ancient Libations, alongside hidden speakeasies like the Crimson Lounge, enhance the spooky atmosphere. Guests can follow @HowlOScreamSD on Instagram to uncover the secret passwords needed to enter these exclusive spots.
In addition to sinister cocktails and mocktails, such as the Blood Bag and Zombie Juice, attendees can also indulge in a menu of Halloween-inspired dishes. From the Devil’s Burger to the Vampire Fang Churros, SeaWorld’s Executive Chef Zuric has crafted a creative selection to satisfy every craving.
Howl-O-Scream is intended for a mature audience. Tickets and additional event details can be found at SeaWorld’s official website.
