UPDATED INFO BELOW
The Newland House is the oldest residence in Huntington Beach, and something quite spooky is settling inside of it and making itself at home this fall.
The Huntington Haunt Experience, taking up residence at the historic house from October 28 – 31, is a unique new Halloween event, created and staffed by seasoned veterans who have years of experience working and scaring at various other haunts around Orange County.
As the story goes, the Hauntington family and the Oldland family have decided to put aside their petty feud, and host a wedding for their respective star-crossed lovers…and YOU’RE invited. The wedding promises to be a spine-tingling affair, part haunted house, part interactive play, part theatre, and completely entertaining.
One particular feature of this haunt is that it is separated into kid-friendly “Happy Hours” and more scary “Haunting Hours” for the 13-and-over braver ones of the group. Additionally there will be a carnival, pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, and many other eerie activities, both for the young ones, and the young at heart.
Auditions for potential ghosts and ghouls will be on Thursday, September 17th, from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at the Newland House (19820 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach) but they are also looking for help with building and carpentry. If you’re interested in a behind-the-scenes role, you should check out their Facebook page or their website for more details. You can also get advance notice about tickets via these portals.
