Hewes Pictures has announced a special One Night Only® theatrical release of I HEART WILLIE, a Steamboat Willie-inspired horror/slasher, arriving in theaters across North America on February 26, 2025. Directed by Alejandro G. Alegre, the film reimagines one of animation’s most iconic figures through a dark origin tale that merges folklore with a gripping love story.

In I HEART WILLIE, YouTubers Daniel and Nico investigate a haunted property tied to a myth about a human-mouse hybrid named Willie. Once an abused child, Willie now lurks in the shadows, donning a bodysuit made from the remains of trespassers. When the online personalities begin their exploration, they stumble into a deadly confrontation that tests their survival instincts.

Produced by Princeton Holt (2050) and David Vaughn (American Rust), who also wrote and stars as Willie, the film features Maya Luna, Micho Camacho, Sergio Rogalto, and Daniela Porras. Executive producer Holt highlights the audience-focused nature of the project, while hinting at a crucial end-credits moment. I HEART WILLIE was filmed on location in Michoacán, Mexico, earning recognition at the Morbido Film Fest and winning awards for Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Director at several film festivals.
