Kara, a single mom, moves her two children, Jesse (Arman Darbo) and Cambria (Chloe Perrin) from New York to the rural countryside after getting a job offer she can not refuse. Kara takes the job of a private nurse to care for Walter (Bruce Davison), a man stricken with multiple sclerosis. Walter works as an appraiser of rare antiquities but unbeknownst to Kara, he has a secretive past that could ruin her new job. With no danger in sight, Kara decides to move into the humble guesthouse.
Itsy Bitsy is an old-school creature film with a terrifying giant spider at the center, but the movie is about more than just about arachnid horror. Kara will have to deal with her internal and familial struggles while saving everyone from becoming spider food. It’s as much a story about people and family as it is about an eight-legged monster. Mixing an emotionally charged character drama with chilling scares, Itsy Bitsy is a movie you’ll be haunted by for years to come.
The filmmakers need your help to finish this film. It has been beautifully captured but now it must go through the costly process of post-production. Post-production includes editing, sound design, and coloring, just to name a few. The director of the film, Micah Gallo, understands the importance of post-production because he has worked in post for many years before finally deciding to bring his own creations to life. His directorial credits include the short horror films Wick and Massacre Lake, both of which have been honored with awards from festivals such as the Sacramento Horror Film Festival, the International Cinematographers Guild, and the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival.
Micah has been a big horror fan his entire life. Itsy Bitsy, his first feature film, is a scary story he’s dreamed of telling for more than a decade. He’s so close to making his dream a reality, but he needs your help. Itsy Bitsy has started a Kickstarter and has a goal of raising $40,000. They have raised $15,000 so far but are seeking more pledges. They have different perks depending on the amount you would like to pledge. You can pledge a $1, $25, $100, or a high amount if your budget allows. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of an amazing film. Micah Gallo and his crew have spent 10 years bringing this film to life. It is time for it to see the finish line. If you would like more information on how you can donate and help visit Itsy Bitsy Kickstarter. Any donations are welcome!
