Just picture it. Staring at an array of delicious boysenberry foods as you stroll the streets of Ghost Town with a beautiful sunset as your backdrop. This is no dream…this is REALITY. This is Taste of Calico and it’s coming to Knott’s Berry Farm this weekend!
Guests are invited back to the famous farm to explore its shops, connect with local craftsmen, and sample some of Knott’s tastiest fare for this brand new, limited-time, outdoor tasting tour. This all-new outdoor food and retail experience is scheduled to take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday July 17-July 19 and July 24- July 26.
To reduce in-person contact, guests are required to purchase tasting cards online or through the Knott’s Berry Farm mobile app. The tasting card costs $25 and includes admission to the event and five food tastings. For children ages 3-11, Jr. tasting cards are available for $15 and include three tastings along with admission. Children under 2 are welcome to enjoy the event for free.
To ensure physical distancing, admission will be limited each day and may sell out. Additionally, tasting cards are date specific, so make sure to purchase a card on the date you plan to attend!
There are over 20 different specialty foods being offered, some of which are a limited-time offering and not always in the park. Oh did I mention ALL the items have a Boysenberry twist? With only 5 tastings per ticket, it’s almost impossible to choose! I mean just LOOK at some of these offerings:
The food for Taste of Calico will be located at Sutter’s Grill, Fireman’s BBQ, Wilderness Dance Hall, and Ghost Town Grub. Expect to see everything from sweet to savory. Wings, sausage, cookies, samosas, beer, wine, chili, and churros are the order of the day and we couldn’t be more excited!
Knott’s Berry Farm is taking the local, state, and CDC health guidelines under strict consideration and has a limited capacity for each day to ensure social distancing. Stores will also remain at a limited capacity and plenty of seating will be located throughout the event area. Masks are required at all times except while eating and hand sanitizing stations have been made available for cleaning convenience.
Rides and shows are still currently unavailable, but Knott’s has created both a fun and unique event that can delight the tastebuds while immersing fans in their favorite theme park. Who knows…maybe this is a little spark of hope for the return of fog this fall…
