Can you smell the fog machines? It’s the beginning of August and we are heading straight into Haunt season. Welcome to Knotts Scary Farm 2015 Tracker 2. Knott’s Scary Farm, the original theme park haunt, is now further along in getting things ready for its world-class Halloween Haunt.
There have still been no official announcements just yet. There has been a little bit of leaked info, but for the most part things have been eerily quiet on the farm. Today we bring you another status report on the visible progress from the farm. We can see more progress on Voodoo, the possible return of Black Magic and Gunslinger’s Grave, and evidence of construction inside the Boardwalk Ballroom.

Scare LA appearance
KNOTT’S SCARY FARM PRESENTATION 4:00-5:00 MAIN STAGE
The grandaddy of theme park haunt events closes out the weekend with a huge presentation sure to be choc full of goodies. Lara Hanneman, Jeff Tucker, Gus Krueger, Daniel Miller and the rest of the Knott’s crew are sure to be on hand as they unleash new evils and share new announcements.
If you haven’t yet, you really need to snap up a ticket. The admission alone gets you into the panels and many of the experiences. That is some insane value and a hell of a lot of fun.

Black Magic
While nothing at all has been officially confirmed by Knott’s Berry Farm as of yet, we are calling this. It is safe to say that Black Magic is returning for this year for Knotts Scary Farm 2015.
If we look very carefully we can see that the final scene is being constructed.
This the scene at the end of the brilliant, Daniel Miller maze in which Houdini appears to fly above guests walking under him. You can see the tall platform that would be the launching point for the actor along with the foot of the faux stage.

Boardwalk Ballroom
We have been hearing rumors of something being “trapped” in the Boardwalk Ballroom. While nothing has been confirmed we CAN confirm that something is happening. While riding the Sky Cabin it is clear that construction is happening inside.
Here we see signs of construction.
Backstage we can clearly see fresh lumber stacked just outside the side entrance to the Ballroom. This looks like framework for something.
Wilderness Lodge
So far, nothing just yet to be reported from the Wilderness Lodge.
Mystery Lodge
From what we can see Forevermore is returning for a fourth year. Nothing is visible out front just yet. But if you look real close you can see developments from the Sky Cabin.
Metal trusses have gone up where the final club scene usually goes.
Silver Bullet Area
Again, nothing has been confirmed just yet. However, we do see a lot of signs that the wonderful Gunslinger’s Grave will be returning for another year.
Here we see what is possibly the mine scene.
Out near the Sierra Railway we see more construction.
Voodoo
We see more progress outside the exit of Voodoo in what appears to be an smoother transition at the end of this brilliant maze.As far as we are concerned, the more of this maze the better.
Dominion of the Dead Location
Peeking through the gates into the backstage we see no notable progress on the façade of what was Dominion of the Damned.
Elvira Returning

i cannot wait for elvira!!! i will probably be super light headed from scares and rides on xcelerator, but its going to be worth it.
Seems like we won’t be getting too many new mazes this year. From the looks of it, Trick or Treat and Pinocchio are the only two mazes being replaced. I was hoping to see Dominion gone, but maybe they’re trying to get one more year out of it.
I’ll be at ScareLA on Sunday and can’t wait to hear about what the team has cooking!
I really hope Elvira isn’t returning again. Her shows have been terrible and embarrassing to sit through. I wish they’d bring back Dr. Cleaver or Ed Alonzo. I’m a little disappointed that Gunslinger is returning again.
I can’t imagine they’d bring back another incarnation Dominion. Everyone loves GG, but I’m not a fan at all. I’m not looking forward to the Zombie Hunting either, ugh. More mazes and shows! It’s like they hear our complaints and do the opposite. Have the zombie hunting across the street at Soak City and charge extra for it.
Theres two new mazes coming this year! The only one leaving is Dominion. Its being replaced by something called “Paranormal”. Boardwalk Ballroom is going to become a Frozen maze, no word on where trapped is going…
From what they said at ScareLA, Trapped isn’t returning at all. Also, I’m surprised they’d keep Trick or Treat, THAT maze is extremely tired and long in the tooth. This will be it’s fourth year…Pinocchio too, that one is feeling pretty tired.
I’m planning to get a season pass to the Haunt this year, and I’m looking to meet new friends. Anyone interested?
