It’s time for another Knott’s Scary Farm 2015 Tracker. The cats are out of the proverbial bag and everything was announced Wednesday night at a special after hours event for season pass holders and media. The line-up is super strong this year, probably the strongest since the 40th. Today, we run through the park and track the visible progress through the farm on the multiple projects including Special Ops: Infected – Patient Zero, Black Magic, My Bloody Clementine, Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises and more. How amazing is that?
We would also like to remind you that tickets are on sale now for the most sought after Halloween event of the season, the HorrorBuzz/MiceChat Knott’s Scary Farm Meet! Grab your tickets now!

My Bloody Clementine
Holy moly, can we just tell you how excited we are with the announcement of My Bloody Clementine? After years of a calm, retro vibe haunt experience inside the post-refurbishment Calico Mine Ride, we finally get to be scared again. Using the fully upgraded sound system in the attraction, all new digital mapping, and live talent, this will be an attraction that must not be missed at Haunt.
We will more than likely begin seeing only slight evidence of any changes inside the attraction as manager Raffia Kaprelyan is a stickler for day/night show when it comes to Haunt season. He does not like it when one affects the other. We are going to assume that most of the effects will be digital and will be switched on after day operations cease.
Special Ops Infected: Patient Zero
Guests can enlist to fight the zombie apocalypse in an all-out war against the undead in the interactive experience, Special Ops: Infected – Patient Zero. The attraction will include more blood thirsty zombies, twice the amount of challenging missions, brand new high-tech laser guns.
Special Ops props and set pieces will begin to show up soon in this area of the park. We expect to see sets begin construction shortly.
The Toothfairy
From the absolutely twisted mind of Daniel Miller comes the most gory, disturbing maze that Knott’s Scary Farm has ever done. While we have no images from the maze under construction as it is backstage, we can’t help but share the news with you that it is coming back. What’s more, it will have a new, even more disturbing ending. LOVE IT!
Black Magic
At the recent announcement event, it was confirmed that the brilliant Black Magic will be returning.
Riding the train we can peek into the backside of the maze and see the same Skeleton Key set being built here. We are guessing that this will be the same room, but a brand new show.
The Dead of Winter
Boardwalk Ballroom
It is true that Trapped is no more. However, we will be getting the intriguing new maze, The Dead of Winter. Inspired by the Hans Christian Anderson tale that inspired Frozen, this tale is a far darker one. Maze designer Gus Kreuger explains, “The Ice Queen has resurrected her army of undead vikings to exact revenge on the town below.” Here we share two exclusive pics from inside the maze currently under construction.
Pinocchio Unstrung
Wilderness Lodge
Pinocchio Unstrung will return this year, while changes are not expected from last year in the actual maze, it will feature a new skeleton key room. The windows are blacked out which means they have begun working.
Forevermore
Mystery Lodge
Forevermore will return for a fourth year, this year will be made different by the addition of a new skeleton key room.
The Gunslinger’s Grave BLOOD MOON RISES
Knott’s Berry Farm also announced updates to the already gritty and intense Gunslinger maze by adding a supernatural bend to things this time around.
Deadly howls and a full blood moon mark your impending doom as Werewolves take over the crime stricken town, in the return of Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises.
“This year we wanted to add another layer of craziness to Gunslinger’s and evolve the story” said Kruger. The clues of this eventual change in the story were there all along, but few ever really picked up on it. “Remember there was a wolf in the barn scene?” Gus reminds us, “Now you know why.”
All visitors will now pass through the previous Skeleton Key Room and then wander through the rest of the maze. “No Skeleton Key Room for Gunslinger’s this year.” Gus confirmed. Next hapless visitors will find that the cavern scene has been infested by lycanthropes and are now attacking the town. We pointed out that this town has had a really bad run and asked why the Gunslinger insists on sticking around. “Well, he’s just put down his roots, he’s kind of settled.”
The maze will culminate in penetrating the werewolf fortress. “The ending will be completely redone” Gus assured.
These two mazes promise to be very exciting to say the least. Good luck to the Knott’s crew and Gus, we know you will pull it off.
Voodoo
The crypt exit coming out of Voodoo is fully formed and will add a more elegant transition from the swamps out, back into Buena Park. A new dimension of fear has been added with the Order of the Serpent. A new skeleton key room has been created and a brand new extended ending.
Paranormal, Inc.
It was also confirmed that Dominion is not returning. Instead we are getting an all-new maze called Paranormal Inc. Case #-The Haunting of Hayden Hill. So far this wins for the title with the most special characters. A new maze by Jon Cooke (Special Ops) this is something we are definitely looking forward to. This new maze should be very exciting to experience, as the maze will change from time to time as the nasty specters play tricks on their visitors.
Elvira’s Asylum
Elvira will be back folks. Still no word on the bounce house.
The Hanging®: Straight Outta Calico
The new show, The Hanging Straight Outta Calico is beginning to take shape in the heart of the park at the Calico Stage.
Thank you for reading the Knotts Scary Farm 2015 Tracker 4. Next week we will be making a major announcement regarding our Halloween event and the Halloween season overall. Haunt begins the last weekend in September. HorrorBuzz will be hosting a very special event that opening weekend. Pencil in Saturday Sept 26th. Trust us. You will LOVE IT!
