Lily Sullivan, best known for her standout roles in Evil Dead Rise and Monolith, has been cast as the lead in the upcoming thriller SOULM8TE, directed by Kate Dolan (You Are Not My Mother). The film, produced by horror powerhouses Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, introduces a unique blend of 90s domestic thriller vibes with a cutting-edge technological twist.

In SOULM8TE, Sullivan takes on the role of an Artificially Intelligent android acquired by a grieving man to help him cope with the loss of his wife. The film promises to explore the unsettling dynamics of human relationships and technology, set against a backdrop of suspense and emotional complexity.

2023 was a significant year for Sullivan, who gained widespread acclaim for her performance in Evil Dead Rise, a reboot of the iconic Sam Raimi franchise. Her role in Monolith, directed by Australian filmmaker Matt Vesley, also received praise after its premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival and its subsequent screening at SXSW.

Sullivan’s impressive career includes roles in Barskins, Picnic at Hanging Rock, and Jungle alongside Daniel Radcliffe. Her early work in Mental opposite Toni Collette earned her nominations for both the AACTA Award and the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for Best Young Actor.

Kate Dolan, known for her horror hit You Are Not My Mother, has rewritten the original script, which was based on a story by James Wan, Ingrid Bisu, and Rafael Jordan. James Wan and Jason Blum will produce the film, with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Ingrid Bisu serving as executive producers under the Atomic Monster banner.

With Sullivan’s rising star power and Dolan’s visionary direction, SOULM8TE is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of psychological thrillers and tech-driven horror.
