Fans of the original Beetlejuice have reason to celebrate as Tim Burton and Michael Keaton come together once more for the highly anticipated sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. This exciting reunion promises to bring back the eerie charm and dark humor that made the first film a beloved classic.
In this new chapter, Michael Keaton reprises his iconic role as the mischievous demon Beetlejuice. Joining him are familiar faces Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz. The film also introduces new cast members, including Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, and rising star Arthur Conti. Jenna Ortega stars as Lydia’s rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, with Willem Dafoe adding to the stellar lineup.
The sequel follows the Deetz family as they return to Winter River after a tragic family event. The discovery of a mysterious model of the town in the attic by Astrid accidentally opens a portal to the Afterlife, setting the stage for Beetlejuice’s chaotic return. With turmoil brewing in both the living and the dead realms, the Deetz family must navigate the supernatural mayhem that ensues.
Tim Burton directs from a screenplay by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, with a story by Gough, Millar, and Seth Grahame-Smith. The creative team behind the scenes includes frequent Burton collaborators like production designer Mark Scruton, editor Jay Prychidny, and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. Danny Elfman, another frequent Burton collaborator, returns as the composer.
